This is well-written book that, not surprisingly, reminded me of the Conversations with God (CwG) series of books by Neale Donald Walsch. While there is some similarity between Eldridge's work and Walsch's, I must admit I didn't experience any real "aha" moments while reading this book like I did when I originally read the first CwG book nearly 20 years ago. That's not to suggest this book isn't a worthwhile read, as it certainly does provide some thought-provoking content.
I do feel inspired to say, however, that despite the fact the title includes the name "Jesus" in it, it's not my sense that this book is something that would resonate with both traditional and fundamentalist Christian readers. It actually is more of a metaphysical work in which Jesus is considered as a master teacher to humanity, rather than a deity that needs to be worshiped. With that qualification in mind, here is one of my favorite passages from it
"Worry no longer what your neighbor will think of you; bring about the most truth you can, at any and all moments. This is the first way to align with source energy. Nothing other than the absolute truth ought to be expressed at all times, despite whatever excuses you may find for doing otherwise. When one doesn't always bring forth honesty, one's truest knowing of the divine - within and without - drifts farther and farther away."
My view of this book is that the author was trying to be clever and publish a book that would be "catchy". There is no substance, no feeling of inspiration. Just a waste of time.
This book is awesome, I like the way it talks about always following your heart and just listening to signs your body gives you in certain situations. I highly recommend it D

What would happen if you made a commitment to find the most meaningful work that you could? What if that led you away from a comfortable job, out of the city you loved and away from close relationships? What if during your deep meditation and artwork you became acquainted with a spiritual guide who turned out to be Jesus? The book follows the process of one woman with such a story and her recorded conversations with him. My hope is that by reading this book others will have the courage to tell the world what they have heard in their own personal communion with the spiritual world and live a truthful honest life.
This is the most important book available to the hands of society. It changed my outlook of the world I live in. It lifted the veil and allowed me to learn so much in a very short time (fastest book I've read in my life). It's a must read. Why should we assume that only people from times long gone could have the ability to hear messages and talk with Jesus? That used to happen during biblical times continues to happen today. So, if you had a chance to listen to Jesus and hear what he has to say about today's world, why would you not? What I found most profound was the clairty he gives about current religious structures. Now it all makes sense. I'm comfortable with everything he explains because I've always had an open inquisitive mind towrad religion. I was not forced into a religion by my parents, who used to be catholic. But, if you were raised with a certain religion and are devout, this book may go against small parts of what you have been trained to think. However, the main message in all religions is love. If you focus on that and have an open mind, you have here a chance to learn more about what this crazy world is all about, and how to be happy in it. This is better than the DaVinci Code! Can you believe the part about the Virgin Mary?? And what about the part about Mary Magdelene? This is the tell all of the centuryfor the sake of spreading clairty and love. This is delusional. This book is the product of someone who is totally unaware of who Jesus is. Jesus could not have been a Tibetan monk, or a buddhist, let alone one who has been incarnated many times. Jesus is eternal and perfect without need for reincarnation to better His life again and again until He attained enlightenment, that is a buddhist teaching. It is preposterous to think of Christ having a previous life where He was married and unfaithful to His wife. The Gospel described Jesus as He is God incarnate, who gave Himself for the atonement of sin. Had the book written as "Conversations with Buddha", it would have been more credible, after all prince Siddhartha was a mere human sinner, not God. One star because there is not a lesser grading.
